DMCA & Content Reports
How to report copyright infringement or other content concerns
Reporting content
GIFs shared through 3D Gif Maker's share links are uploaded by users. If a shared GIF infringes your copyright or otherwise violates our Terms, use the procedures below. We respond promptly — typically within a few business days — and remove content that violates the law or our policies.
Share links expire on their own. A share link is deleted 90 days after the last time anyone opened it, so a link that has been abandoned disappears without anyone having to do anything. Note that the clock restarts on every view: a link that is still being passed around will keep renewing itself, so if you want something gone rather than eventually gone, send a report below.
Copyright (DMCA) takedown notices
Our designated agent for copyright infringement notices under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512):
DMCA Agent, 3DGIFMAKER LLC
8832 Bryson Bend Drive
Charlotte, NC 28277
Email: 3dgifmaker@gmail.com (subject line: "DMCA takedown notice")
Telephone: (980) 355-9236
This agent is registered with the U.S. Copyright Office. Email is the fastest route and the one we monitor; the postal address and telephone number are published because the statute requires them, not because they are the quickest way to reach us.
For your notice to be effective, it must include:
- Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed;
- The exact share link (URL) of the material you want removed, e.g.
https://www.3dgifmaker.com/g/…; - Your name, mailing address, telephone number, and email;
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law;
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf;
- Your physical or electronic signature.
Please be sure before you send one. Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), anyone who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing — or that it was removed by mistake — may be liable for damages, including the costs and legal fees incurred by the person who posted it and by us.
Counter-notices
If your content was removed because of a DMCA notice and you believe the removal was a mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to the same address containing: the removed share link; your name, address, phone number, and email; a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed by mistake or misidentification; consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address (or, if outside the United States, any judicial district in which we may be found); and your physical or electronic signature. We may restore the material in 10–14 business days unless the original claimant informs us they have filed a court action.
Repeat infringers
We terminate service to repeat infringers. Share links do not require an account, so enforcement operates on technical identifiers such as IP addresses: repeat infringers are blocked from creating new share links, and their existing links are removed.
Other content reports
To report content that is illegal or violates our policies for any other reason (non-consensual imagery, child sexual abuse material, hateful content, harassment, and so on), email 3dgifmaker@gmail.com with the share link. Every share page also has a "Report this GIF" link. Reports of child sexual abuse material are treated with the highest priority, removed immediately, and reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children as required by law.
What happens after a valid report
The GIF and its share page are removed and the link stops working. Removed material may be preserved in a non-public archive for up to one year where the law requires evidence retention. We keep a record of notices we act on.
