Animated PNGs (APNG) work too: upload one and every frame of it lands here, ready to reorder or trim before you export the GIF. Everything runs on your device, so your files are never uploaded to a server.

1. Upload your PNG files

Select one or more PNGs. Each static PNG becomes one frame, and an animated PNG is split into all of its frames automatically. You can mix in JPG, WebP, or GIF files too.

2. Put the frames in order

Drag any frame to a new position, and remove frames you do not want with the button under each one.

3. Set the size and speed

Size controls the dimensions of the downloaded GIF. Speed sets frames per second; an APNG arrives with its original timing already set, and you can change it here.

4. Download

Frequently asked questions

Can I convert an animated PNG (APNG) to GIF?

Yes. Upload the .png or .apng file and the tool reads its animation data, splits it into frames, and picks up the original frame timing. You can reorder or remove frames before downloading the GIF.

What happens to PNG transparency?

GIF transparency is on or off per pixel, with no soft edges. Fully transparent areas of your PNG stay transparent in the GIF, while partially transparent pixels, like soft shadows, get hard edges.

Will my PNG lose quality as a GIF?

GIF stores at most 256 colors per frame. Logos, screenshots, pixel art, and flat graphics convert cleanly; photographs and smooth gradients can show slight banding.

Can I combine several PNGs into one GIF?

Yes. Upload as many as you like, drag them into order, and each one becomes a frame. The speed slider controls how long each frame shows.

Are my PNG files uploaded anywhere?

No. The frames are read and the GIF is encoded entirely in your browser, so the files never leave your device unless you choose to create a share link.
