About the Content Aware animation
Frame by frame, thin strips of the least detailed parts of your picture are removed and the rest is stretched to fill the frame, so the background melts away, subjects get squashed together and it warps more and more until the loop resets to the original. It is the classic content aware scale meme, best on photos with a clear subject and some empty space, and it makes a good ironic 'shrinking' emote.

How to make a Content Aware GIF
- Upload an image above (JPG, PNG, GIF or WebP), or start with the sample image that is already loaded.
- The Content Aware animation is selected for you. Adjust the size, speed and total frames, and add filters if you want them.
- Click Download Gif. The GIF is made in your browser and saved to your device.
Best Content Aware settings
- Frames: 25 to 40. The stretch needs enough steps to ooze rather than snap.
- Speed: 15 to 20 fps. The joke of the effect is the slow, wrong melt; fast playback hides it.
Works best on: a clear subject with plain background around it, which is what the scale eats first. Faces and product shots produce the classic result.
Watch out: Very large Size values make every frame recompute the seam map and the export crawls. Images that are already tightly cropped have nothing safe to remove, so the subject warps immediately.
